The review loop that catches bugs before they ship

Every phase of CollatrEdge goes through the same process. Build. Test. Internal code review. Fix. Independent code review by a separate reviewer who has never seen the code. Fix again.

Phase 1 found 13 issues in the first review. Three were red: a hardcoded config override, an unhandled async return value, a lifecycle ordering bug.

We added four new rules to the codebase after that review. Not guidelines. Rules. Enforced in every subsequent phase.

Phase 2 found a measurement name bug that the internal review missed. The independent reviewer caught it.

This is not about perfectionism. It is about cost. A bug found in review costs minutes. A bug found in a food manufacturer’s production line costs hours of downtime and a conversation nobody wants to have.

By Phase 8, independent reviews were coming back clean. The rules worked. The patterns held.
